Force restart not working

It is not to force restart my iPad. It comes up with a message that says iTunes could not connect to the iPad because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes. have done all the steps to force restart it but I am still unable to. Please help. Thank you

i've had this same problem since one of the more recent iOS11 updates.  (worth noting, I'm a beta tester)

- i first tried unlocking it, hoping that's all that it needed to sync.  unfortunately, the message keeps popping up on iTunes on my MacPro desktop

- i then tried a restore, but same error message

- i then tried a DFU restore, same

- then I tried searching the web for an answer.  "i cannot possibly be the only person having this issue!?", i thought.  after scouring several times, i FINALLY found this thread (same problem by a handful, but no solution):

Multiple errors syncing with iTunes after upgrade to iOS 11 and MacOS High Sierra | MacRumors Forums

- i then found this question, but again, with no answer

this wouldn't truly bother me, if it only came up once every so often. even once daily wouldn't really bother me too much... BUT, it comes up like every 5 minutes!!! the error message pretty much renders iTunes unusable for me... until i either click "cancel" or unlock the iPad and then click "try again" dozens of times.  it kinda *****.

since there was a major iTunes update released, i think my next step is to do a clean removal of iTunes from my MacPro desktop and try reinstalling.

**side note** i just went to open up my iPad to use the "iOS Beta Feedback Agent" and noticed that it's not on there.  i have iOS11.1 pb1 installed, so that's kinda odd.  i did just happen to see that iOS11.1, pb2 is available.  hopefully that will resolves this.
