Suddenly cannot send email out to address

I have been using an email for a colleague who runs an organization we have, been using it for months, maybe a couple of years. Just recently, cannot send it through any more. Tried "safelisting" but that did not make any difference (I realize that safelisting may have to do wth reception anyway). The person at the other end can send emails to me that come through using the same address.

You will understand that the email coming back to me with all the error info is complex. I did pull out this part:

Diagnostic-Code: X-SMTP-Server; conversation with pivh.org[74.85.244.50] timed

   out while sending RCPT TO

Return-Path: <my@addres.com> (I changed the address in this message).

Sounds like something about sending a receipt. Does this say anything about what is happening?
