Ultrawide monitor question

I just purchased a new Mac Mini with 2.8 Ghz processor and Iris graphics.  I want a Dell 38" ultrawide curved monitor for this new computer. Both have display port connections, among others. Can the Mac Mini use this ultrawide monitor for everyday computing (no gaming, etc.) Native resolution on the Mini is 2560x1600, native resolution on the Dell monitor is 3840x1600.

There should be no problem.  I have a HP ultra wide curved monitor with a Late 2012 mini and everything works as expected, games included.  It too displays at 2560 X 1600.

running lcd monitors in resolutions other then their native resolution or resolutions which is modulus 2 of their native resolution usually give a fussy image

After purchasing and trying the Dell 38" curved monitor with my new Mac Mini, I can say "The proof is in the pudding" - the new monitor works perfectly right out of the box with my mac mini, using a Display port to Mini Display Port adapting cable. No problems whatever!

There really isn't too much a Mac can't handle.  Enjoy your new monitor.
