Cannot Add Custom Ringtones with 12.7

After updating to the recent 12.7, I have been unable to add my custom ringtones to my iPhone. I know that the method now is to easily drag and drop your .m4r files to the Tones section in iTunes. But, when I do so, all I get is an error stating:

"YourSongHere.m4r" was not copied to the iPhone "[My] iPhone" because it cannot be played on this iPhone.

All of my other ringtones are .m4r and they work just fine. Am I doing something wrong? Please help.

I too noticed this a few days ago. I saw in the forum someone adding a link from this site with instructions to drag and drop. It doesnt work. I am predicting that Apple will at some point not allow our own music to be added just as they are doing with this. That will mean I no longer will use any Apple product. As soon as my 7 Plus is due for an upgrade I will be saying Hello Samsung.

See this doc from turingtest2 - Create a ringtone in iTunes. Specifically Add ringtone to device, iTunes 12.7 or later.

I had to stop the BTTray.exe service from starting because it caused issues at startup in version 12.7.
