Dowloading Playlists to new phones

It seems like it is getting more difficult to navigate I Tunes!  Every upgrade makes it harder!  We purchased 2 I Phone 8's yesterday....and I am unable to download the playlists to the new phones.  I have spent most of the day working on this.  My latest computer had the playlists...but no contents!  So...went to the other laptop...the playlists are there with the contents, but I cannot get them to my phone.

I would appreciate any help I can get with this matter.  I have reached the point where I hate getting a new phone or laptop because of the hassle of getting all my playlists.  I have searched through the communities...I called an Apple store and asked for help...and I still don't have my playlists.
