my iTunes 12.07.0166 version is not recognizing...

I'm having the same issue, but beyond that, my iTunes 12.07.0166 version is not recognizing my ipdad 2. So, I tried to restart it many times (pushing both buttons at the same time) but it always gives me back the same message, which is the "the activation server is not available...".

I'm afraid of losing my iPad....

Is there any other way to fix it?
