just some videos show "unsupported" in iPad Pro

Using an SD card reader I am importing some videos directly to my iPad Pro 10.5. Some of them appear, I mean the thumbnail, and I can watch them normally. But strangely some (from the same camera and imported at the same time) just show a black thumbnail and nothing shows when trying to play them. If I import them to a PC laptop they all work normally.

The same thing happens some times when I import videos to Aperture, some work and some don't, even if they come from the same camera and same photo "session".

They are .avi videos.
