AUNetsend/receive issues

Hi all,

Not sure if i will get any where with this but worth a shot. So here is my dilemma.

I am using AU LAB to send audio over the network(  have also tried directly in logic to) as well as use sound fly that uses the same method.

I have two macs. One mac book pro(Laptop) and one mac pro(desktop)

The issue i am having is that when i have the laptop to receive audio (either in logic or AU LAB/Soundfly) it just won't connect to the host....just says connecting.

However if i have the laptop to Send and the Desktop to receive it works perfectly?

I am seeing the host in AUReceive(IE the connection set up in desktop) and even when i change the hosting name it shows up instantaneously but want for the life of it connect.

Any ideas.

Has this something to so with Sierra OSX? the desktop runs on EL CAPTAIN.

Any help ....PLEASE

So this seems like its a problem with the OSX operating system. Great job apple!!!!!  I know that OSX 10.12.3 is also affected. Means i now how to waste my life putting it back to EL Captain... What a joke.

I am using AU LAB to send audio over the network

Refer to its developer for support.

Hi John, what OS X are you using? AU lab works fine on my el captain OS X.

I am sure that AU Lab is part of Apple Developer tool kit. Hence why I am on this Forum.

I no longer use El Capitan. Although I was able to use AU Lab with Sierra I don't have a clue how to use it to receive audio over a network.

You would probably be better off asking in the applicable Professional Apps forum: https://discussions.apple.com/community/professional_applications

Yes this works 100% using Sierra 10.12.5 and Logic X 10.3.2

AUnetsend is an audio effect that can be inserted on any audio track or master output. AUNetReceive is an instrument (not effect insert) Go to instrument track / AU Generators / Apple / AUNetRecieve.

Play the audio on the send machine,

Select host on the AUnetReceive plug in (by default AuNetSend) you should see a green dot beside the name in the host plugin window.

Click connect.

The audio steam should start playing.

My iMac will not receive the audio either, the same issue you seem to be having. Not sure what the issue is but I can confirm it does work between 2 Mac devices running Sierra 10.12.5 and Logic X 10.3.2.
