Email hacked?

My friend got an email under my name but from an email address that is not mine.  Have I been hacked or has she?

Keep your software up-to-date with Software Update.

Don't click on links in emails, retype the URLs to be sure you know where it is sending you.

Don't download a "codec" or program to view content on a website from the same site -- standard viewers should come from the codec developer's site, not the content site.

Don't fall for requests from your bank or PayPal to verify your information -- they don't do it that way.

Probably somebody else has, not you, possibly not your friend.

When a computer is taken over by a spambot it pulls in the list of previous email recipients (if it can). So the computer that got hacked may have both you and your friend as recipients of emails.

That's what I thought and hoped.  Do I need to do anything then?
