Apple TV (1st generation) a no

My 1st generation Apple TV will access My Music via my network, play internet radio stations but although it shows as a device in iTunes 12.7, won't connect to iTunes or show movie trailers or show contents of the device in iTunes. I also have a 3rd generation Apple Tv on the same network which streams Netflix etc. but also doesn't show contents in iTunes. I've gone through all the steps in a discussion posting entitled, "Apple TV (1st generation): Troubleshooting Apple TV not recognized in iTunes without success. Any suggestions appreciated.
