Folder View Options

There are four viewing options icons at the top of a folder.

If I had a folder of images for example, none of these four options give you the choice of "date image was taken".

Is this correct?

There are "date created" and "date modified" viewing options, but "date taken" is missing.

This makes sorting images very difficult.

Is there anyway (apart from importing them all to Photos) to view the dates taken, in a column, in a folder of images?
