Activation Lock Question

I purchased an iPad at an estate sale, and when I tried to reset it to it's factory settings, it got locked with the previous owner's itunes account (activation lock). I don't know their information and they no longer live where the sale was..  what can I do?

Nothing. There is no way for you to get the Activation Lock deactivated on it now.

You can check into recycling it.

If you can return it, get your money back. Without the password used to set up activation lock, there is nothing anyone can do to use that device.  Apple will not get involved or help you with a private party used sale.
