Apple Watch Series 2 Battery Level Stuck at 100%
My new Apple Watch Series 2 battery level indicator is stuck at 100%, regardless of what the actual battery level is. I've tried rebooting the watch and it didn't help. Is anyone else experiencing this and know of a fix?
Hi
As you have already restarted your watch, it may help to unpair and re-pair it:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

I have this issue too. It started with the watch dying unexpectedly friday evening. After charging the watch it's now showing 100% constantly. E.g. it still said 100% charged after I wore the watching during the night, which I don't believe. After charging the watch in the morning it still showed 100% and right now it's still at 100%.
I have tried restarting the watch with no effect.
I have also tried to unpair the watch, done a hard reset of the watch, and then re-paired the watch. But it still shows 100% charged.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm starting to suspect a hardware problem with the sensor on the battery.
Interesting, I noticed this problem yesterday and called apple support and unpaired, repaired, restored prior images of my watch, new images etc., nothing fixed the problem. The watch is behaving normally so at this point I am not willing to send it in for repairs but now that I have seen these other posts I am curious if this is some kind of software or hardware bug. If anyone has advice please let us know.
I'm having the exactly same problem right now. A week ago my watch shut itself down at %85 battery (I charged it to full capacity 2 hours prior to that). I had to put it on to the charger in order to boot it again. It shows %100 ever since and shut itself of time to time.
I did force restart, un-pair and pair and restored from backup. Nothing solved it yet.
Hi Jonathan,
I have the same issue, I tried un-pairing, even reseting the watch and setting it as a new watch, still having the same problem... any other advice?
Hello, I have the same problem too. I tried un-pairing - pairing. 1x reset with restore from backup and 1x reset without backup. I have a latest watchOS 3.2.3.
Just got a new (replacement) watch from Apple and am having the same problem. I had this before with an earlier watch and it kept recurring until I made Apple replace it. I'm wondering if any of you has resolved the issue. I did notice (and am taking) an update today that "fixes bugs" so fingers crossed
Actually I've had the same problem, after trying everything I started doubting that it's something related to my iPhone and not the watch, so I paired it to my friend's iPhone, then un-paired it and paired it again to mine, and I have no idea why or what happened, but the problem is resolved... try it and let me know, I'm curious to know if that's actually what solved the problem or I got lucky just when I gave up lol
Same problems with mine with Latest OS on both iphone6s & Apple Watac Series 2
1) Battery stuck at 100% even 4-5 hrs of using it
2) Shut down itself, need to put back to charger then restart inorder to get it back on. After back on the batrry still shows 100%!
Need help also still couldn't find a way to solve this!
Thanks
Same here bro!
Very Annoying
I'm having this exact problem. It seems to have started after upgrading from 3.1.2 to 3.2.3.
I had the problem when the first Watch S2 came out and it only was resolved when Apple replaced the watch. Unpairing didn't help AT ALL. This time had the problem with 3.1.2 and I do notice that it started the same morning I had added credit cards to my Apple Pay .. so I wonder if THAT had anything to do with it.
Hi... Please try to pair your watch to another iPhone (any other iPhone you can get your hands on) then instantly pair it back to your iPhone, that fixed the problem for me...
Problem solved for me by doşng this. I remember that problem occured after some time enabling "time travel" in the watch settings. I disabled it yesterday and it got back to normal now. Battery last longer again and it shows proper percentage display.
