hi all,

i have a new ipod shuffle that i was trying to sell and eventually decided to keep as a backup to a nano. so at some point i am sure i reset to factory settings.

right now as i try to use it again when i plug it into my mac pro it is not recognized.

i have tried to plug it into the keyboard, the front of the mac and then to the back of the mac. it is also not showing up in OPTION > apple icon > system information > USB

it will power on and stay on. i've tried a restart of the mac pro and of the ipod.

any ideas on what to do before calling apple?!
