How to Recover Lost Song/Album Info?

Good Day Community,

How do we recover the song info?

Purchased a few songs from the iTunes store. Went into Get Info -> Details. I edited the album names with my own to organize, instead of creating a playlist. Big mistake.

Hoping to recover the lost info back from the iTunes database.

Is there a 'retrieve the song/album info' option?? All I see is the 'Get Album Artwork'...

For purchases you can delete the tracks from your library and then redownload them from your purchase history.

For other tracks you potentially restore from Time Machine or other backup if you have one, either restoring just the affected songs and then playing them to refresh the metadata in iTunes, or restoring the state of the database too.

If you haven't set up a backup yet this should provide some impetus.
