Plantronics E 50 cuts out when connected to Mac...

Hello. I am now on the third Bluetooth earpiece and the third Mac mini. Cuts out all the time, repeatedly says "PC disconnected" and then immediately "PC connected."

Same problem with Plantronics Voyager Legend, Plantronics E 50, and cheap $7 earbuds.

2012 and two 2014 Mac minis - all have the same problem with the Bluetooth.

High Sierra. But had the same issue with Sierra.

Questions:

- I have the Plantronics 300 dongle too, but it doesn't seem to make any difference whether I use it or not. In fact, the E50 doesn't seem to pair with the dongle - it pairs with the mini anyway. At least it looks the same in the Bluetooth Pref Pane.

- I've tried pairing again, rebooting mini, resetting Bluetooth system, etc.

- not using a phone! This is strictly for me to listen to audio on the earpieces. Nothing else. Don't need microphone.

I have the shielding kit with the foil tape for installing over the mini's Bluetooth antenna on the board, but not too thrilled about taking apart my brand new $1399 16GB Fusion Drive mini.

If anyone knows a solution to cutting out poor Bluetooth to Mac mini audio on 2014 mini, please let me know.

P.S. My ear with the earpiece is 6 feet unobstructed to the Mac mini. But moving it right up on it doesn't make any difference. It cuts out, comes back in a few seconds, then will play OK for a while, then cuts out again, sometimes with no warning and other times starting with a scratchy broken audio and then silence.

P.P.S. I have also removed batteries from wireless phone in the room. No difference.
