Can't turn off native calendar notifications on...

Everytime I install a new WatchOS, it seems my native Calendar app notifications get turned on. I don't know I did in the past to get them turned off, but with this latest update (3.1.3) I can't seem to turn them off at all. Here's my setup:

* I use Fantastical on my iPhone and my watch. I don't use the native calendar app(s).

* As such, I want to turn off all native calendar app notifications on both the iPhone and Watch

* On my iPhone, I go into notification settings and have them all turned off for Calendar

* On my watch, I have "mirror iPhone" in the notification settings for the watch Calendar app. I still get notifications on the watch (but not the iPhone).

I've also tried the following, but I still get Calendar notifications on the watch:

* On my iPhone, I go into notification settings and have them all turned off for Calendar

* On my watch, I have "Custom" notifications set and "Show Alerts" turned off (theoretically overriding any mixed signals coming from the iPhone).

* I still get notifications on the watch

This also doesn't work:

* On my iPhone, I go into notification settings and have them all turned off for Calendar

* On my iPhone, I go into the Calendar app and deselect all Calendars

* On my watch, I set it to "Custom" calendars. I then deselect all Calendars (theoretically I won't get any alerts if I have no calendars).

* If I navigate out, then back into the Calendar list on my Watch, most of the Calendars have been reselected again! They deselection never took.

* I still get notifications on the watch

This is beyond frustrating and pretty consistent with my overall frustrating experience that is the Apple Watch. How can I get it to behave like it should?

Same issue, I have to re-install those app, enable disable notifications, then uninstall again... So lame

I have the exact same problem with the same set up.

I think I was able to fix this. So far in my testing I've not had the double notifications.

Go into the Watch app on iPhone and into Calendar's settings. Do custom  for both, rather than Mirror my iPhone. For Alerts turn on the Show alerts toggle and then go into each category and disable. (You may have to toggle the Show Alerts slider in order for "On" to update to "Off" for each category). Once all are disabled it should stop notifying for Calendar.app and only notify for Fantastical.

I had this issue with the calendar and even with the reminder app. NOTHING solved it. Neither the setting mocking, neither the reinstall of the app on the phone...

I spoke with Apple Support, they said a reinstall of the watch will solve it. I did it. It worked fine BUT then 3 days passed and somehow the Watch crashed and restarted and all the issue started again. Sooo boring. I kept geting al the notifications for my incoming events. So I entered the settings and did This Show allerts ON and all OFF thing and seemed fine for an other 2-3 days. Than I'm getting the notifications again. I'm getting angry that I have a $$ watch and it's kind of overwriting my settings. Please Apple Fix that, I'm Sure this is a bug...I would like to get notifications Only from Fantastical since this is My native calendar on each of my devices, I don't want the factory iCal app...:(

Same issue here. This is definitely a bug that occurs every time the Apple Watch restarts, either after a crash or manually turning it off (or, of course, after any Watch OS update...). For me, resetting the Notification setting for the native calendar app usually fix it until the next restart... very frustrating. Here is hoping for the next major Watch OS update...

Did anyone fix this? It’s driving me crazy. I don’t want my hotmail (UK) holidays calendar showing on my watch. It’s deselected in the iPhone calendar app but in the watch app it won’t deselect. Under custom i uncheck it but the selection refuses to hold
