ipad email problem

Hi Everyone,

I'm in an accomodation setup that has internet via ethernet connection. I've setup my MacBook Pro as a wireless router and successfully connected my iPad Pro.

Everything works perfectly except my emails on my iPad won't download. Previously my iPad connected to the internet via my iPhone using hotspot and they download ok, maybe there is some sort of internet restriction that prevents access to email servers.

Anyone have any idea how to get around this?

yeah likely the router or the carrier block the ports required by the email provider contact them about that
