Screen all white when starting Apple Music on i...

It just sits on white screen, with controls at the bottom (five selections like the main screen), and the usual Phone battery status/time at the top - then the app closes completely. I tried uninstall/reinstall; uninstall, reinstall, start app from settings; nothing works. I have an account I just started yesterday (not trial) and it worked once and not since. I also have an Apple Watch, it works on the watch when paired to Bluetooth. I also tried turning the app off on the watch. Still doesn’t work. Very aggravating.
