Apple screwed up Watch access to iPhone music l...

So Apple screwed up the one thing I used most on the Watch with WatchOS4, browsing music on my iPhone via the Watch. I NEVER stream ANYTHING. Streaming my music is a non-starter. I frequently listen while there is no connectivity to stream anything, let alone music. I want full access to all my music all the time. It is why I have a 256gb sized iPhone. Putting select music on my Watch is a non-starter and hassle I don't want.

 

Now, accessing the Music app on the Watch defaults to music on the Watch only. The only way to "trigger" control of the iPhone music app is by first starting playback directly on the iPhone. Further, there is now no way to browse the music on the iPhone.

 

WHAT?!?

 

This is one of the main reasons to have a watch, to control iPhone music playback. To have to use the iPhone to start and browse the music on iPhone is STUPID!!!!!!!

 

This has me reconsidering owning the Apple Watch all together.

This feature's removal is extremely frustrating. I used it all the time with my iPhone hooked up to a bluetooth speaker; I was able to control the music for my kids, and for my workouts and swims.

 

We can only hope enough people will file complaints/requests to bring it back for Apple to take action. I'm filling out the bug report / feature request here:
