bluetooth volume problems after ios 11.0.1

Since installing the Apple ios 11.0.1 update on my I-pad Air 2 I am having a loss of volume synchronization between my Bose QC30 ear buds and the volume on the I Pad.

The volume has to be controlled separately from the earbuds volume controller and if there is a notification that comes through from an app the volume then turns off and I have to go back and adjust it on the I Pad and the earbuds to make it work again.

Previous to the update the volume controls were joined together and synched thru the Bluetooth connection

I spent about four hours today with the Apple support rep who just ultimately said that , " Well the new update must have made you Bose earbuds non compatible now.

I performed a software update the earbuds through the Bose website but it was to no avail.

We even did and complete re-install of my I Pad , no help there either. The I Phone 6 had the same update and it is working fine.

Just got off the phone with Bose and they are aware of the volume syncin problem after iOS 11.0.1 update on iPad air2 and they are working on a patch. Keep checking back on the Bose updater website

Since the update 11.0.1 I’ve been experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues with both of my iPhones. I use an iPhone 6s Plus for work, and I have my personal iPhone 7 Plus. Both are equally affected and the updated fix update 11.0.2 did not resolve the issue. Bluetooth devices will intermittently disconnect / reconnect and fluctuate volume levels.

I’m getting similar problems with my iPad Air 2 and Nakamichi Bluetooth speaker:

Upon starting to play media the volume will be low, and then as soon as a notification of any type occurs the volume more than doubles, it is almost as though the media volume at start is set to the lower level it dips to behind an alert sound and only get to full volume after an alert occurs while the media is playing. If the media playback is paused the volume dips again on restart.
