Movie and audio files taking up space that i ca...

I have a MacBook Pro 2013 that I mainly use for photos. The last couple of weeks it was stated my start up disk is full so I have bought a new external drive (needed anyway) and moved all my edited photos which should have just left the iphoto library at 170GB (of 250GB).

However, the laptop is reporting that I have 170GB of movie files and 39GB audio files. I can't find these and itunes is logged out. On investigation it seems that there is a copy of my itunes folder (from another computer) stored as icloud synchronisation files that are taking up the space. I don't dare to delete them without understanding what is really going on.

I've read multiple threads to try and resolve but getting nowhere. I'm happy to have a go but I'm very much an operating system novice.
