debug browser spyware

I am using an older IPad with the latest updated IOS system.  I tried to go to Facebook and got this popup message starting" https://www.accessdenied.us Windows has deducted some suspicious activity from your IP address.  Some Spyware may have caused a security breach at your network location. Call Toll Free 1-855-339-4093 for Technical Assistance.  Debug browser spyware 895-system 32.exe."

I can't get rid of the popup and closing Safari doesn't get rid of it either.  Is this a valid message?  What do I do?  I am not very savvy about these things and need help.

Its a suspicious message. Don't follow its instructions.

To fully close safari, click the home button once to take you back to the Home screen. Then double-click the home button to get a list of the running applications. Find safari and swipe up in the middle of the screen so safari flies of the top.

if that fails, shutdown the iPad with a long press on the power button. And then restart it.

Its very unlikely any damage has been done.

This is a scam message aimed at getting some account info from you. Do not click on any links or follow any instructions that it contains. Here's what to do:

1. Quit safari like this. Click the Home button to exit Safari. Then double click the Home button to reveal the app switcher. Flick up on the page preview of Safari. The page preview will fly away and disappear. That quits Safari.

2. Use the Settings app to remove data from Safari.

Settings > Safari > Clear History and Data

3. Reset your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
