The icon of a deleted app still shows in the to...

Hi, I'm fairly new to Mac and I recently downloaded an application called 'Malwarebytes'. Now I decided to delete it today and it worked, but the icon of the app still remains at the top of my screen, next to the time, battery percentage, etc. How is this possible? I deleted the app by placing it in the trashbin and emptying that. What do I do to get rid of the icon? Because if I click it, it says it can't open with an application because I deleted that.
