Do not disturb or mute still has sounds in ios 11

On my iPad I used to touch the mute button in the control center and ALL sounds would be muted, which is what I want - that means not even keyboard clicks or the sound of me plugging in the charger. Now, if I use either the do not disturb or I move the volume to the lowest (diagonal line through, which is like it used to look with the mute) or even use the physical button for the volume, I still hear keyboard clicks, lower but not silent, and I still hear a sound when I plug in the charger. How can I totally mute the device without changing individual settings? On my iPhone I end up using the physical button to silence it, but there is no such button on the iPad. Or, if I want to get calls but hear nothing else, I plug in earbuds (I did this in previous iOSs, too).

Thank you.

To disable keyboard clicks, go to Settings > Sounds and uncheck Keyboard Sounds

For the charging sound, if you use the mute switch on the left side of your device, it will only vibrate when you plug it in!

For the iPad, you need to go in control center by swiping from the bottom of the screen and selecting the bell icon to mute.

Thanks for the reply, but I don’t want to have to set my keyboard clicks separately - it used to be that I didn’t have to. On the iPad, the bell icond does NOT mute the charging sound. As I wrote in my question, I am aware that the mute switch on my iPhone does the trick. I need a ”one-stop” solution for the iPad, which used to exist (and I wouldn’t mind a soft solutinon for the iPhone, too).

Unfortunately, there isn't an other way to mute the keyboard clicks without disabling them. And for the charging sound, there isn't an other way as well.
