Apple Music iPad Now Playing Panel issue

The now playing panel in the iPad Apple Music app has started taking up the full screen on my iPad. It definitely seems like a bug because the little pull down arrow overlaps with the time, and I have not seen this behavior in other iPads running the same version of iOS. Also, when I pull down the pane, it minimizes to the lower left (not right) and then snaps over to the right side where it is supposed to be. Has anyone else had this issue? It started a couple of months before iOS 11 was released and wasn’t fixed when I upgraded to iOS 11. Also, the “Browse” tab mysteriously switches to being called “New Music”. Any thoughts?
