storage on macmini

My MacMini is getting slower by the day.

I looked at Storage in 'About this Mac".

Almost half of the memory consists photo's 33 GB, Audio 2,2 GB, Programs 20,4 GB, Rest 9,7 GB.

But 47,4 GB consists Other.

By a total Storage of 119,1 GB I only have about 9,7 GB to work with.

I tried to level op the Rest part, by getting rid of duplicate photo's, but that gave my only 4 GB extra.

I can't find out what is the content of 'Other' and how to reduce that part of the storage.

Any idea's on your side?
