iTunes is not track play counts or last played,...

iTunes is not track play counts or last played, Apple please fix this problem in the next update to iTunes.

When I play songs in iTunes for Windows 12.7.0.166, to get "Recently Played" to populate, I must "finish the song"

It shows me how many songs are in Recently Played, and the total duration of them all

Thank you for your response.  I realize that the song must finish playing in order for iTunes to track/count it, the problem I have is that iTunes 12.7.0.16 is not doing either.
