iTunes cannot connect to store

Back when 12.6.0.x was released, iTunes for Windows broke the ability to connect to the iTunes store.

Apple fixed it in 12.6.1.25 finally, after 2 months.

Today, upgraded to 12.7.0.166 so I could use iTunes to upgrade a bunch of iDevices to IOS 11.  Only to find out that access to the iTunes store is broken again.

Any work around to getting iTunes to actually access to the iTunes store?

From the diagonistic:

Windows Firewall is on.

iTunes is enabled in Windows Firewall.

Connection attempt to Apple web site was unsuccessful.

The network connection timed out.

Basic connection to the store failed.

The network connection timed out.

Connection attempt to Gracenote server was successful.

Last successful iTunes Store access was 2017-10-16 09:21:46.

The last successful was from the prior version of iTunes for Windows right before I ran the update.

Opening a browser window to the iTunes Preview page for stuff in the store works just fine.  Only using iTunes for Windows doesn't work.  No store loads for anything, podcasts, music, or updating an iDevice to IOS 11.

Is the only solution to wait another month (or more) for them to fix it again?

So much for thinking I was safe by waiting a month before updating.....
