Powerpoint won't run slideshow

I'm having a really hard time figuring this out. My powerpoint 2011 v14.0.0 is running on MacBookPro 13" OS Sierra 10.12.6. Everytime I try to enter slideshow (regardless if it's extended, mirrored, presenter view or what) it won't open at all. It will only look like the picture I attached below. Please please help. I already tried changing the resolution of the screen, mirroring the displays, I don't know that to do anymore.
