What causes ghost volumes to be created in the ...
I have several Mac users that when I periodically check their volumes share I see duplicate entries of a particular server share renamed -1, -2, -3, -n... If I unmount the share and delete the ghost entries, then the share reconnects with the correct name (sans -#), however over time the ghost entries will inevitably reappear.
What causes this and how do I permanently fix? This has been occurring for some time across various macOS versions, but currently we are all running Sierra 10.12.6.
