12.7 Update BUST!

i did an iTunes update on 10/16/17 and my itunes went haywire. I can't log in to my account, it says "failed to connect to apple id server" i can't connect to the itunes store either. I have no firewalls or anything of the sort that is blocking iTunes. my last successful attempt to connect to iTunes store was on 10/16/17 right before i updated. I called support and they do nothing but tell me to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it which does nothing or to create a new user on my PC which again does NOTHING.  i think what makes this more frustrating is i can't find a solution. anyone out there know what to do? anyone?!!!!!
