delete iCloud archive folder on Mac

Please help me sort out the difference between these folders. Previously, I had iCloud back up documents folders desktop, but I noticed a decrease in performance, so I turned off those options, but DID NOT TURN iCloud off.

I have an obscene number of duplicate files (found by Ararx duplicate finder).

Can I delete the iCloud Archive file?

You should be able to do that. Make sure you have everything in your Documents folder and on the Desktop before deleting. To be extra safe, move the file to the Trash, but don't empty the Trash. Log out of your user account and back in. If you still have everything, empty the Trash.
