iTunes disabled in SL after update

Today I accidentally allowed my Itunes to be updated to 11.4 from an earlier generation

which had worked flawlessly for years. - on an iMac that I need to run 10.6.8 on...

(Snow Leopard) - for purpose of maintaining some pro studio apps that aren't

stable beyond that iteration of Mac OS.

I now am unable to open Itunes / access any of my iTunes files. No click/open

of iTunes allowed for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Bottom line, is there any recovery path for this such as de-installing 11.4 and reinstalling

the functional version - or otherwise can anyone advise on how to make 11.4

work in 10.6.8? If anyone can please help, I would greatly appreciate it as it

is a PITA and a needless disruption of my business operation.
