Mouse tracking speed with new Mac mini

I just updated from my previous Mac mini (early 2009) to the latest 2014 Mac mini and in spite of setting the mouse tracking speed as rapidly as possible, my wireless Mighty Mouse simply does not track as rapidly as it did with the previous Mac mini. I am hoping that this could be improved in the future. I am running OS Sierra. Does the upgrade to High Sierra improve this or are there other ideas?
