Is there a way to mirror iPhone in Apple Watch ...

I have been using the Apple Watch 2 series for running with None plus app. Given the limitations of the series 2 Watch I have to run with my phone and mirror it to the Watch. Otherwise the pace distance and music are completely out is sync. I jusr updates the iOS did the Watch and now it is impossible to mirror the phone. The Watch tries to work as a series 3 and clearly can’t! I recorded two runs instead of one at different pace and did not record the HR on the phone. Is there a way to solve this issue? 

It is very frustrating that with every iOS update Apple isnforcing to buy the new device.
