MBP15" keyboard issue

My daughter's MBP 'n' gets stuck occasionally and took it for a repair. Was told that liquid was detected and not covered under warranty. It will cost $1,500.00 to have it fixed. Since I've been hearing keyboard issues on MBP, I am a little hesitant to have it repaired. What should I do?... I bought it November 2016 with Apple Care. Any suggestion? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

What keyboard issues?

You have two choices, get it fixed or replace the computer. Actually you have a third choice, use an external keyboard.

If the computer has water damage then my choice would be to get a new computer. Water damage could resurface at any time in the future.
