Replace Quicktime Default Sounds

Hi I'm using both Yosemite and El Capitan

I am not happy with Apple DLS sounds and I purchased a very nice sounding sfArk compressed Soundfont.

I have both the .SF2 version and the sfArk version

I installed the .SF2 file in the ~/Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks/  however while I am able to see it in certain software several others, including glorious and still the best audio app Quicktime Player 7 pro, still use the original Apple File.

2 questions

1st How to replace the Apple DSL sound with the ones I have so each program would use it?

2nd is there a Terminal command line to convert the sfArk or the SF2 to the Apple DLS format?

The standard DSL file is located here:

/System/Library/Components/CoreAudio.component/Contents/Resources/gs_instruments .dls

Is a rather small file 1.4 MB while the Bank I have is 2GB in SF2 format and 780MB in the sfArk format.

If I manage to convert it or rename it as gs_instruments.dls will this load or create problems?

Thanks for any suggestion

Regards

Danny
