Make mouse bigger at startup on Mac desktop

One of my clients is partially sighted and we've made his mouse bigger which is a real help. However at start up (before clicking on his name and entering the password), the mouse is still tiny which makes it really difficult for him. Is there any way of making the mouse bigger at start up too?

Just wiggle the mouse, the pointer should temporary grows bigger.

You don't have to use the mouse to login.  Use the left or right arrows to select the user, enter the password, then press Return.
