Brand new Ipad Pro 12.9 Juddery, jerky transitions

First off, I apologise if I have the names of these IOS 11 bits and pieces wrong, I've tried to describe in as much detail as possible to make up for that!

I bought a new Ipad Pro 12.9 a couple of week ago and it had quite noticable jerky transitions / animations in a few instances when navigation IOS 11, but there was one that could be recreated every time and that was Safari.  If I open it and there's a few tabs open, even two tabs and then click the home button twice to open the task switcher, then press again to go back to the desktop, then click the safari icon, the animation or transition or whatever you want to call it is very jerky and juddery.  I can recreate this every time and it does it maybe 6 times in a row and then stops and works fine and if I open another app and go back into safari, it'll do it again.

So I returned that ipad after a couple of days and I have another.  This does the same.  it is fresh out of the box, nothing else installed and it is lagging/juddering and I can make it do it each time.

Is anyone else finding this happens?  This would not bother me too much on a low end tablet, but we are at almost 8 hundred quid here and this is not good!

Can anyone shed any light please or is there a fix?  Or does this one need to go back too?  I'm not wanting to wait long for a fix as i did that with a mid 2014 Macbook pro that misses out the first letter or letters of sentences and still no fix for that!
