What will an iTunes backup restore?

I might need to do a hard reset on for my iPhone 6, but the thing is that I would rather not lose all of my app data and everything on my phone.

After replacing my screen, my iPhone has been completely unresponsive and won't turn on, although it is recognized by iTunes (I have a lock on my phone so it's inaccessible through iTunes). I know the battery isn't dead because I've left it charging for a while so that isn't the issue. Luckily, right before I began replacing my screen I did a complete backup of my phone, so I do have that. If I hard reset my phone (pressing the Home and Lock buttons together for a while), will I be able to recover everything from my backup and have my phone like it was before? Is there some other option that could help me that I don't know about?
