iCloud missing default profile

I am having a problem with the iCloud settings page, regarding a missing settings page box relating to email, contacts and calendar.  I tried to get help with this in a previous posting to this community, with no success. I am running win 10 Creator and Office 365, both recently installed before installing iCloud.  Oddly, ICloud is syncing my calendar and contacts properly. In an attempt to fix the problem myself, I tried to sign out of iCloud from the Settings page with the goal of reopening it, or if necessary, reinstalling it.

However, when I attempt to sign out, get a dialog box that says “Setup can’t continue because Outlook isn’t configured to have a default profile.  Check your Outlook settings and try again.”  My outlook settings confirm that I am using a POP3 account from my local ISP for my mail as my default, as before.  Note, I am not using iCloud to sync email.  However, there is now a new account IMAP account with the name username@me.com which is an imap account type, with an incoming mail server address “p43-imap.mail.me.com,” and a password with asterisks that go across the entire password box.  This must have been installed by Apple.

I assume using the POP account for email is ok, and I don't have to use the me account as my default.

Can someone tell me what default profile iCloud is referring to?
