time capsule not detected

My desktop mac version10.13 does not detect my Airport time capsule 802.11ac in Airport utility therefore i cannot backup anymore. I tried turning off my computer and Airport and turning them on again. That did not work. Can anybody help solve this problem?

"Disappearing" AirPorts are more common than ever since Sierra was introduced, and High Sierra does not appear to offer any improvement.

Try the following:

Power off the entire network.....all devices.....in any order that you wish

Wait a minute

Start up the modem and let it run by itself for a few minutes

Then, start up the Time Capsule and let it run for a full minute

Then, start up your Mac and let it run a for a full minute

Keep starting devices up one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up

Check to see if the Time Capsule now appears in AirPort Utility and report on your results
