My iPad says it already has latest update 10.3....

My iPad says it already has latest update 10.3.3! Will check for latest update later. No mention of iOS 11.0???

You need to make sure you have a compatible iPad model.  iOS 11 is a 64 bit system and will not work on iPad with 32 bit hardware.  If you aren’t seeing the update available, you probably don’t have a compatible version, but there could be other things causing it as well, but let’s start with making sure you can run it before we start seeing if it’s something else.....What model do you have?

There is no such thing as an iPad model number starting with FD.

Try again.

Look in the Settings app, General,  About.

Are you sure you aren’t getting MD513LL?  If you are, then that is why you aren’t getting it, that is an iPad 4 and that iPad is not going to get over 10.3.3 as it does not have correct hardware to be able to run higher?  There are no iPad models starting in FD

That is not a valid iPad model, there are no models of iPad that start FD

I did and it's FD

The number part is a 4th generation iPad model number.

The FD part is NOT right.

Maybe this is a refurbished iPad 4th generation model?

I remember reading something on Apple's website about refurbished Apple iDevice models starting with FD.

The 4th generation iPad is ineligible to upgrade to iOS 11.

That is a 4th generation iPad, which can not be upgraded beyond 10.3.3.

Do you know why the model ID number starts with FD instead of MD?

I believe you got it right with the possibility that it is a refurbished unit.

I have done all sorts of searching and haven’t been able to figure this out either.  I think that may be right but don’t have anything to confirm or deny it so I guess that’s the most logical answer I have heard.
