Pages on iPad pro

I have a 12.9” iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil.  there is an app called MyScript which permits you to hand write and converts to typed text.  Kinda like the old Palm Pilot.  At any rate, I use this app a lot.  But in order to use it for word processing, I have to use Microsoft Word instead of Pages because Pages doesn’t support MyScript.  Now why on earth wouldn’t Apple support being able to use the Apple Pencil for word processing?

Nobody in these user communities has any answers to “why” Apple makes any decision about anything (unless Apple publicly states such).
