Recently when starting up my MacBook Pro, it we...

Recently when starting up my MacBook Pro, it went to a screen asking which network I wanted to join, with a drop down menu and then for the password for my router. This was "before" the login screen. Any answers for why this happened?

It sounds like it lost the connection or the something wonky with a preference. Go to System Preferences > Network and be sure "join automatically" is check marked. Then test again.

Thanks! System Preferences was set up right. But thanks for leading me there, I set up some other advanced restrictions there that I'd never noticed before. I've never seen this screen that I fore mentioned before, it had a picture of my hard drive and below it the drop down menu for available networks, then it asked for the password for my network. Being as it came on before the login screen caused me to think "intrusion". So that's why I'm reaching out!

I think the odds are really against an attack of some sort. If it still bothers you, change your network password.

Yep, think I will... thank again!

One more quick question. At the same time this happened, I continue to get pop ups upon logging in asking for my iCloud password... two screens on after the other. I've logged into iCloud and logged out. No issues there. iCloud is not set up to open at start up, so I don't get why I'm seeing this continual message... any thoughts there?

Signing out and signing back in should stop it. But I'm not the best at that cloudy stuff. Might try asking in iCloud on my Mac.
