when I send an e-mail on my Apple account, I get a duplicate copy in my inbox! How do I delete that setting

Hi Sandy,

Not sure exactly what you mean? When you send an email on your Apple account to where? In your title, it sounds like you are sending it to yourself? If so, then that is why it is showing up in your Inbox. It's all the same account.

Cheers,

when I send out an e-mail, or respond to an e-mail, the response sends a duplicate copy to my inbox

Hi again,

Check your Rules under Preferences (click on the little gear at the bottom to get to preferences in iCloud email) and make sure you don't have a rule that can be causing this behaviour.

Cheers,

First, if you've checked

View ▹ Organize by Conversation

in the Mail menu bar, you'll always see your sent messages along with incoming ones on the same subject.

If that's not the issue, then from the menu bar select

Mail ▹ Preferences ▹ Composing

In the window that opens, uncheck the box marked

Automatically Cc: or Bcc: myself

Hi Linc,

So do you think the OP is referring to the Mail app on her phone or Mac? I probably should have asked for that clarification, since the title referred to Mail on iCloud.....

Not sure?

I am having this same problem:  when I send someone an email, my sent email appears in my inbox.  It just started happening.   I went on Preferences--> composing, and the box marked "automatically cc yourself" is not checked.  Anyone know how to get this to stop?

thanks, Ken

I"m having this same issue.  Does anyone know the solution?
