new 13" macbook pro or mid

I am stuck between buying a 2017  13" macbook pro with 8 gig memory and 512gb storage or the mid-2015 15" pro with 16 gig memory and 256 storage. I have a 2015 15" right now and my wife needs a new comp. What is worth more in the long term,  the more memory or the newer components?Thank you
