MacBook broken after warranty

Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help. I bought a 15" Macbook about a year and 2 months ago.

About a month into having the macbook something happened to the display and it went grainy, I sent it back to Apple and had it repaired. A few months later the display stopped turning on again so I took it back to the Apple shop and had it repaired, a new motherboard this time I think and then 2 months after that the display stopped working again which was repaired in the Apple store for me while I waited.

I expressed my concern to the Apple store staff that I was worried it would go out of warranty and the display would stop working again but they told me only the online staff had the power to extend it, the online staff told me only the Genius staff could extend it. Now it's broken again and I'm feeling a bit fed up and now I'll have to pay to have it repaired, but I think it's a faulty macbook - is there anything I can do?

Any help appreciated.

You could have purchased AppleCare while the base warranty was active, would have had 2 additional years of coverage. But that's no longer an option.

Your last/best hope is that the latest failure is still within the warranty period of the parts replaced AND the new failure is on the same assembly so some sort of coverage can occur. IIRC, authorized/genuine replacement parts carry a 60 day warranty.

Oh what do i do then?

Didn't you have a different issue with malware in another thread???

For Myke's case, nothing else to do but return to the Store and have the Mac reassessed so alternatives will be presented.
