icloud for windows keeps dropping me out of ema...

iCloud mail for Windows has a problem with the option to sort by unread email and it's been ongoing now for at least a couple of years.

When I am reading a new message it often checks for new email and updates the view. This causes my current email to be sorted down below by date, and it immediately removes the message from my view so one moment I'm reading it, then my message vanishes and I see "no message selected".  Also, when this happens, my inbox only shows new emails, not previously read ones.  So, to continue reading the email I was on, I have to refresh to get all messages showing again, then scroll down and locate the message in the dated list of previously read messages.

This is not an occassional problem. It happens to me a dozen times a day.  When I have had many messages coming in, it's happened a couple of times a minute.  I'm constantly getting kicked out of emails I'm currently reading!  I've had it happen through multiple Windows versions on multiple computers so this is not an anomaly.  What is going on with this and will it ever be fixed?
